Dandy Dungeon - Yamada is a 36-year-old Japanese man who lives alone in an apartment. When he comes home from a long day at the office, he likes to strip down to his tighty-whities and program his own adventure game while the ups and downs of daily life inspire or torment him.
The bulk of this adventure consists of beating a series of levels where you have to choose the path your hero must take through a maze while incurring minimal injuries and racing against the clock to finish in time. When you come across a box with enemies, you have to fight them, although this happens automatically.
As you beat levels, you'll unlock new weapons and armor for your character to wear as well as resources to make sure Yamada doesn't die from starvation. Every once in a while you have to order take-out or try wooing the neighbor girl you have a crush on. Nobody ever said the life of an amateur game developer is easy!
